Remember this if you are a social program loving liberal: "The United States is on the verge of surpassing 300 million in population, and all projections indicate that the country is headed toward a population of at least half a billion people by mid-century. These are not abstract numbers. They will have a profound effect on every aspect of life in America, and on the rest of the world.
Ironically, the damage we are causing as a result of rapid population growth is self-inflicted. America's race to emulate countries like India and China is primarily the consequence of one policy: immigration. Over the past 35 years, an increasing share of U.S. population growth is attributable to an unprecedented influx of immigration. Over the coming 35 years, that policy - unless it is changed - plus the legacy of immigration since 1970, will account for nearly all the population increase that this country will experience." - Excerpt from Immigrant Stock's Share of U.S. Population Growth: 1970-2004

We need to stop all immigration and guard the borders well until we can figure this out.
Half a billion people is a prescription for disaster, especially where resources are concerned.
The US cannot control its southern border! Solution: Statehood for Mexico. With millions of new citizens working and contributing to Social Security, two problems solved for the price of one.
I am a Republican but they wouldn't let me speak at the convention.
