A Merry Christmas - Excusez moi?!

In keeping with the Christmas spirit I'd like to congratulate French President Jacques Chirac for this gift to the world. Now France does not enjoy the freedom of the press as Americans do - where liberals like George Soros can pay big bucks to magazine, TV, and newspapers to print and publish liberal propaganda. Things in Francedom might be changing - a nano bit.

Within the vast mental resources of the cranium of Jacque Chirac comes the urge to have a 24 hour news channel. Per Jacque:
"France must ... be on the front line in the global battle of TV pictures," he said on Wednesday as his cabinet approved the establishment of a company to run the French International News Channel (CFII).

"The aim is to bring France's values and its vision of the world to everywhere in the world,"
Most programming will be in French, but there will be some English programming and there are plans to add content in Arabic and Spanish. Yes, France needs more Arabic - maybe it will chill all those riotous Muslims a bit.

I have to wonder what Jacque means by bringing France's values and vision to the world. I guess he means their values of accepting bribes by Saddam Hussein to vote against invading Iraq when the vote came in the UN Security Council. Perhaps he wants to spread the vision of France's 9.8% unemployment rate (per The Economist, Dec. 2). Well in any event, thank you Jacque for such a Christmas gift, and a Merry Christmas to you!

Think their French CNN will be Fair and Balanced?
