Back on December 4, 1981 there came to be what is known as Executive Order 12333. This order outlines some US Intelligence activities yet is probably best known as the executive order that prohibits US sponsored assassinations. An excerpt from Part 2: 2.11 Prohibition on Assassination. No person employed by or acting on behalf of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination. I believe it's time revise order 12333. Take Iraq as a case in point. We could have excised Saddam and his sons for allot less cost in both money and lives if we were allowed to. With just a fraction of the money that has been spent we could have got close enough to complete the mission - the same goes for all the leaders of terrorism. It is a much cleaner and efficient way instead of bombs and bullets flying.
People want safety and security and the pursuit of happiness, but aren't willing to do what is necessary in the world to obtain and keep those ideals. The message needs to be very clear: You mess with our peace and security and you're going down!

You're correct. The thought was not just for 1 person (Saddam) but his sons and whoever else need be. I support the actions in Iraq and wish they were easier for you and those in your situation. Perhaps if we could have taken out the key leadership there would have been a totally different outcome and less time for non-Iraq thugs to penetrate the country.
Hindsight is easy huh, and there are lots of armchair generals. The post was intended to bring back an option into the open - make it well known.
