Louis Farrakhan was born Louis Eugene Walcott May 11, 1933 in the Bronx, New York. To honor his mother I will refer to him by the name his mother used - Louie. Since his mother had emigrated (legally) from the Caribbean island of Saint Kitts, and his father was from Jamaica, Louie really can't say that he is Afro-American nor can he really claim any lineage to early slave trade - no matter how hard he tries.
Louie was diverted from his up-and-coming career as a calypso singer after being brainwashed by the teachings of the Nation of Islam and Malcolm X. Louie quickly rose in the ranks in this radical organization and landed himself a "Minister" job for a decade at the influential Harlem Mosque starting in 1965. Louie has started some other web sites to help stir up trouble, including FinalCall.com - devoted to Louie himself.
Louie's big mouth not only stirred the hate and generated racial unrest but it often got him into trouble (just a few of many):
- His entire inspiration for the "Million Man March" is based on his alleged, "vision of being swept into a UFO that took him to a larger mothership." While in the UFO, he claims to have spoken to the late Elijah Muhammad before being beamed back to earth. (The Washington Post, Sept. 18, 1995, p. D3).
- In comments regarding the flooding of New Orleans in consequence of Hurricane Katrina, Louis Farrakhan "also revealed to the press a report that he received, from a 'very reliable source' (Jessie Jackson?) he said, that there was a 25-foot hole under one of the levees that broke, which suggested it may have been busted on purpose to destroy the part of the city where Black people lived."
- Louie claims Whites are "blue eyed devils", Jews are "bloodsuckers", "Hitler was a very great man", and Jews controlled the slave trade and currently control the government
- Louie has met with dictators in Sudan, Libya and Iraq, before the war, and praised their governments while denouncing the United States. Leaders in the Nation of Islam have also made very inflammatory anti-Catholic statements.
