Muslims Demand: NO Freedom of Speech!

What I find far more dangerous than some cartoon is the muscle the Muslim community can flex at a moments notice. It is not only the media that surrenders, but entire countries - capitulation - surrender - bowing down - before the sword of Islam - or else.

Cartoons about religious figures is not new. The picture above was drawn by MSNBC political cartoonist Daryl in response to the latest hype, including a stick-figure Mohammed. Lots more that go back many years can be found here. Big deal? Well to many Muslims it's cause to kill you!

When publishing a cartoon gets you fired or the threat of death, is that any difference than banning free speech? The latest attack on non-Muslims by Muslims is the example of the day.

The French newspaper France Soir (currently owned by Egyptian millionaire Raymond Lakah) fired its managing editor because of republishing caricatures that were simply cartoons of the "Prophet Mohammad".

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan takes a stand that press freedom should have its limits.

CAIR's Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

Intentionally provocative attacks on Islam should be rejected in the same way that credible media outlets quite rightly decline to publish anti-Semitic materials

Yet he had no problem with attacks on Christianity in the USA and the removal of anything Christmas - in the name of separation of church and state of course. But of course we should believe Mr. Awad, and we're sure he cares lots about the Jewish people.

From the Jawa Report a British Muslim Group tells Muslims to Kill Cartoon Blasphemers. These are not radical Muslims we are talking about - all Muslims - take up arms and kill anyone guilty of (in their minds) blasphemy.

Freedom of Speech - Just watch what you draw!

Foreign diplomats and journalists began pulling out of the Palestinian areas and two countries closed diplomatic offices today after masked Palestinian gunmen, incensed by cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in European newspapers, threatened to kidnap foreigners.

Oh no - there is no religious war going on, not at all. Just try and find those cartoons reprinted anywhere - countries are afraid, some have already bowed down and apologized, begging forgiveness from their local Muslim groups - bloggers excepted!
