What will Obama's policy be in the Middle East? Daniel Pipes offers a glimpse in an article posted today. Part of this article generalized some results of the Bush policies:

• Iran has nearly built nuclear weapons and appears to be planning for a devastating electro-magnetic pulse attack on the United States
• Pakistan is on its way to becoming a nuclear-armed, Islamist rogue state
• The price of oil reached an all-time high, only to collapse due to a U.S.-led recession
• Turkey went from being a stalwart ally to the most anti-American country in the world
• Iraq remains an albatross (or a pair of shoes?) around the American neck, incurring expenses, fatalities, and with an immense potential for danger
• Rejection of Israel's existence as a Jewish state has become more widespread and virulent
• Russia has re-emerged as a hostile force in the region
• Democracy efforts have collapsed (Egypt), increased Islamist influence (Lebanon), or paved the way for Islamists to attain power (Gaza)
• The doctrine of preemption has been discredited

Congratulations to the Dalai Lama on his honors from the US Congress today.

Dalai Lama is the title for the person part of a lineage of allegedly reborn magistrates going back to 1391. The Dalai Lama is the spiritual teacher of the Gelug sect of Buddhism.

I'm not a Buddhist but I know Buddhism is a "safe" religion - unlike Islam. Buddhism does not seek to conquer the world, does not seek to oppress the people, and does not go strapping bombs on their bodies to blow up women and children - as Islam teaches.

From a book The Teaching Of Buddha that I found in a hotel in Japan in one of many visits:

To satisfy their desires, people will struggle and fight with each other, king against king, vassal against vassal, parent against child, brother against brother, sister against sister, friend against friend; they will fight and even kill each other to satisfy their desires.

No wonder Muslims try and squash Buddhism (and any other religion). One is a religion of peace, the other a "religion" of terror. No wonder just this month - all in Thailand:

• Oct. 13, 2007 - A 47-year-old Buddhist is killed, and his brother injured, in a Muslim attack
• Oct. 11, 2007 - A Buddhist man and his wife on their way back from a monastery are shot by Muslims
• Oct. 10, 2007 - Islamic gunmen murder a Buddhist man and severely injure his wife and another relative
• Oct. 5, 2007 - A 90-year-old Buddhist man is murdered by Muslims
• Oct. 4, 2007 - Two Buddhists (ages 41 and 65) are separately murdered in cold blood by Muslims
• Oct 1, 2007 - Buddhist monks are among the casualties of a string of Islamic bombings that leave at least one dead

Some recent demands - or else! They just want to blend in with normal society huh?

DOCTORS and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues.

Islamic Group DEMANDS Left Behind Game Pulled. "We believe the message this game is promoting is one of religious intolerance. The game's enemy team includes people with Muslim-sounding names." Expect Muslims to push for stronger efforts against freedom of speech, in the name of "hate crime".

Muslims DEMANDED Capcom remove the phrase "Allahu akbar" from their Zack & Wiki game. Capcom capitulates to the DEMANDS of Islam - under threat of retaliation.

Muslims DEMAND a Madrassa in New York - paid for by American taxpayers.

Muslims DEMAND EVIDENCE to be barred from a terrorism-related trial. CAIR rejoices!

Muslims DEMAND students get footbaths at the University of British Columbia - and the Canadian government bows to the Muslim DEMAND.

Muslim public relations strong arm - CAIR - DEMANDED FBI agents in Arizona be sensitivity-trained that Muslims are to have highest priority for protection, and any incident against a Muslim must be classified as a hate crime. The FBI capitulates.

Muslims DEMAND that Muslim women (or men dressed as women) have a RIGHT to cover their identity in DMV identity photos by wearing their Hijab. New York capitulates.

Muslims DEMANDED Muslim worker get special privileges to attend Islamic cultism prayers. The New York Transit authority capitulates to the Muslim DEMANDS.

In what was simply a prank tossing of probably soda, one of the bottles (CAIR claims it was acid) landed near a Muslim. The Muslims freaked, and started yelling "Hate Crime", DEMANDING the local Arizona police to give this their highest priority - over real crimes. They also DEMANDED the FBI be called in.
"We appreciate the professional response of local law enforcement authorities and urge the FBI to add its resources to the investigation," said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.

Muslims DEMAND foot baths at the University of Michigan, and the public University caves in.
