    Working Wage

There's more to a working wage than simply gross pay. If you are a union worker you are forced to pay money to the union machine. If you live in a Liberal state most likely you're paying higher taxes - including taxes on the necessities your family needs.

I keep getting emails from unions about how their interest is for the American worker, the American family - so I decided to do a little experiment.

Food is an obvious necessity and represents a significant expenditure for the American worker. So what if I compared a random sample of grocery items of a union store with a non-union store - which store would be more family-friendly? Which store would help the American worker's wage go farther? Union, or non-union?

    Basic rules:
    • Items had to be national brands
    • Items had to be regular priced, not on special and not lower if the purchaser belonged to any store club
    • Items had to be exactly the same - manufacturer, title, size, weight, etc.
    • Both stores were compared within 4 hours of this post
    The Stores:
    • Union: Albertsons
    • Non-Union: Wal-Mart Super Store
    The Items:
    1. Tostitos (cheese dip) Salsa Con Queso, Med, 23 oz
      Union: $4.99
      Non-Union: $3.18
    2. Coka Cola, 2 Liter, Classic
      Union: $2.39
      Non-Union: $1.25
    3. Progresso Soup, Lt, Home Style Veg. & Rice, 18.5 oz
      Union: $3.49
      Non-Union: $1.50
    4. Best Foods Real Mayo, 64 oz
      Union: $7.99
      Non-Union: $6.19
    5. Hidden Valley Original Ranch, 24 oz
      Union: $3.28
      Non-Union: $2.98
    6. Pace Chunky Salsa, 16 oz
      Union: $3.29
      Non-Union: $1.66
    7. Minute Rice, White, 42 oz
      Union: $6.89
      Non-Union: $4.18
    8. Betty Croker Potato Buds, 28 oz
      Union: $4.99
      Non-Union: $3.28
    9. Jimmy Dean Cooked Sausage, 9.6 oz
      Union: $4.99
      Non-Union: $2.23
    10. Oscar Meyer Premium Beef Franks, 16 oz
      Union: $5.49
      Non-Union: $2.76
If you put 2 of each item into your cart, you would have to pay $37.16 more for shopping at a union store:

    Union total: $95.58
    Non-union total: $58.42

So who do you think helps the American family more - unions or non-unions? Just wait until Barack Obama and his Liberal Congress pass forced unionization!

Meanwhile, the Liberal controlled union puppets in Congress are trying very hard, along with dooms-day threats from union bosses, to dump billions of hard working American taxpayer dollars into the hands of the UAW union.

If you think you have some duty to shop union - then by all means - waste your family's money. The smart shoppers know better!

NOTE: We don't buy any of the items in this survey, so there was no prejudice in what was selected.

    Secret Backroom Agreement EXPOSED!

Secret meetings, secret deals. Flowery talk on the surface, crooked deals and corruption behind closed doors, backroom promises in exchange for money and support, mob deals, etc. Is there no limits to what a corrupt Senator will stoop to?

I never trusted the guy - Barack Obama. I've posted about his shady business dealings in the past, his lack of character, his ties with the mob, and his very tight ties with the big union bosses.

I even detailed the legal problems of various crime bosses - the first 5 weeks of 2008. There are many more since then. Typical mob crimes - embezzling, bank fraud, false statement and representation, theft, forgery, mail fraud, falsifying union records, racketeering, filing false union reports, grand larceny, etc.

I made the claim that these were the type of people and crimes Senator Obama feels at home with. Now today, in the WSJ article Obama Says Teamsters Need Less Oversight, my stance has (again) been proven true.

The Teamsters - headed up by James P. Hoffa, son of Jimmy Hoffa has endorsed Senator Obama earlier this year. Turns out boss Hoffa had a private talk with the corrupt Senator about what he is expected to do in exchange for the Teamster union pumping millions into his election bid for president.

So Obama gets their money and the unions get the promise that Obama will support ending the strict federal oversight - imposed on unions to root out corruption and monitor for mob activities.

Don't expect Senator Obama to come clean with all the other secret back room promises to other organizations. From protecting unions to promoting a return to the racist past this guy is trouble - with a capital T.

Let's peek at April's tally from the U.S. Department of Labor ESA - not quite the clean slate the unions or Senator Obama wants people to know about:
    • April 21 - Stephen Priese, former Financial-Secretary of UAW Local 516, pled guilty to embezzling union funds
    • April 16 - Kim M. Van Handel, former President and Acting Treasurer of Steelworkers Local 1980, pled guilty to embezzling union funds
    • April 16 - Sheila Rushing, former office secretary for Bakery, Tobacco & Grain Local 482, indicted on one count of embezzling union assets, destruction of union records and making false entries in required union records
    • April 14 - Fredrick W. Jones, former Vice President of Glass Molders and Plastics Union Local 285, pled guilty to embezzlement of union funds
    • April 14 - Brian Dolney, former President of Machinists Lodge 2333, pled guilty to bank fraud
    • April 11 - Kathleen Drake, former Secretary-Treasurer for Machinists Lodge 2339-C, pled guilty to one count of falsification of union records
    • April 9 - Gary Smink, former President of Steelworkers Local 1-962, indicted on one count of theft

    Of Fires, Stupidity, and Hate

No wonder our country appears to be in such havoc - we have too many stupid "leaders" making decisions.

For example, take liberal Senator Harry Reid's statement:
One reason why we have the fires in California is global warming
I mean, really - what a careless total lie. I use to live down yonder and fires in S. Cal. are as normal as ocean waves. I lived with Santa Ana winds. I've lived very close to mountains glowing red at night, breathing in smoke, ash on the vehicles - I've seen it all. It's nothing new - except to stupid idiots like Harry Reid that need to be under medical care for dementia.

It is notable the difference between shelters in California vs. those in Katrina times. Demographics and political control make a difference. In liberal-dominated New Orleans you had raging hate, rapes, murders, assaults, property crimes, total havoc - and thousands running around like rabid beasts not knowing what to do, hands stretched out demanding BIG GOVERNMENT take care of them.

Then you have the extortionist unions claiming:
Quite frankly, our members are the only thing keeping the state from going up in flames.
Unreal huh? Every wacko liberal-socialist entity will be playing the fires just like they do with every sad situation. But in this case, in predominately Conservative land, their "help" isn't wanted nor is their politicalizing the situation. California is not liberal Louisiana.

Then you have S. California. People just chill'n, comfortable (yet inconvenient) shelters with plenty to eat and drink, people taking care of themselves (while liberals are running around screaming with a stop watch demanding the federal government do something fast). Where crime was rampant at shelters in one demographic, massages, yoga, and Kosher food are the daily fare with another demographic.

Then you have (self-professed) socialists like Hilary Clinton and their hate groups, one of which is deceptively called Center for American Progress Action Fund. One of their posts today targeted Islamo-fascism week - of which they hatefully rename as "Islamo-phobic Awareness Week". They use all the guilt-motivation techniques liberals are known for - labeling anyone speaking truth as "racist", "campaigners of hate", "offensive" - you get the drift. No wonder Muslims - including each of their most radical and murderous members - are doing everything they can to ensure liberals get power in our government.

One can only hope the legal voters in America are not as stupid as these "leaders".

There is some good news today. That vicious black judge, Roy L. Pearson Jr., might be losing his job. You remember him as the mean black judge that used his position of authority to oppress and bring terror and a $65 Million lawsuit (later changed to $54 M) against a simple hardworking Oriental couple that owned Custom Cleaners. His raging hate eventually failed.
