Has America Gone Stupid?

Anyone that has taken a basic government course should know that only Congress can pass a budget and spend your money. It is obvious from the past election a majority of people are ignorant of how our government works.

Two days ago an article in the WSJ titled The Pelosi Record pointed out the obvious - but I guess the majority of voters either don't care or are blinded by party loyalty.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi:

likes to thunder against "the failures of eight years of the Bush economic policies." The stock market has collapsed, she hisses, "because of a Republican philosophy of greed, deregulation, and tax cuts."

WSJ facts:

almost the entire decline in the economy has come since she picked up the Speaker's gavel. The stock market has decisively voted thumbs-down on the Pelosi paradigm, with the Dow falling from 12,157 in November 2006 to 8,600 today

The night of the Democratic landslide election of 2006, the net worth of the country was roughly $50 trillion. Now it's at least $6 trillion lower.

Democrats promised jobs and pay raises, but the unemployment rate has climbed steadily from 4.5% to 6.7%. The misery index (inflation plus the unemployment rate) has nearly doubled during Ms. Pelosi's watch.

Two years ago Speaker Pelosi solemnly pledged a new ethic of fiscal responsibility if voters would empower her with the Speaker's gavel. Instead the federal budget deficit has soared from $165 billion in fiscal year 2007 to $486 billion in 2008 and could reach $1 trillion in 2009.

Meanwhile, routine federal spending has risen by $400 billion in two years -- a figure that does not include the cost of the three federal banking bailouts, and counting. All of this can't be blamed solely on President Bush because it is Congress that has the power of the purse.

Meanwhile, the change that Democrats promised to bring when they took control of Congress continues to happen - just not in the interest of Americans. A small fraction of what has been going on within the past 48 hours:

• Presto Products Co. plans to cut 250 jobs
• Bakersfield newspaper plans to cut 25 jobs
• United Airlines plans to cut 1,200 jobs
• East TN Zinc plans to cut 320 jobs
• Arizona Republic cut 68 jobs yesterday, eventually 2,000
• AT&T plans to cut 12,000 jobs
• Adobe Systems plans to cut 600 jobs
• Cessna cutting over 500 jobs
• Celebrate Express cutting 200 jobs
• US Steel cutting 3,500 jobs

I can go on and on - if you have any doubts just search for recent news on Google using "layoff". Way too many to list on this post.

Curtis Lavelle Vance is the black man that brutally beat and slaughtered Anne Pressly, a 26 year old white anchorwoman. Mr. Vance is a known criminal and fortunately has been arrested. What A Change

Perhaps one of the more famous Thanksgivings date back to 1621 with the Pilgrims at Plymouth. The pilgrims and various Indians socialized together, ate together, and traded with each other - all without government interference.

Pilgrims thanked the Christian God - not Allah. They had no motive of conquest like Islam does, no desire to behead non-believers, but instead shared with others - there was harmony. Eventually they established a government based on the Christian religion and principles - not on atheism, homosexuality, socialism, communism, Obamaism, or any such principles that decay a society.

The largest growth of a new nation took place because of the great freedom they enjoyed. No big government to dictate what to grow, who they could hire, where they could go, what they could accept for payments - and no big government to pay tribute to for the purpose of dispersion elsewhere.

Little could they know that hundreds of years from their early days their offspring would be forced to enslavement by a growing fascist government - far more cruel and controlling than the government they fled.

Little could they know that hundreds of years from their early days their offspring would be forced to accept:

• a restrictive and controlling government

Nothing New Under The Sun

Germans were told there would be change too. Uh yeah - real change, by the power they gave 1 man.

People in fearful times make disparate choices. Their decisions are emotional, not rational. They'd rather respond to eye candy and superficial promises than logic and reason.

Remember all the whining from Liberals about the abuse of Executive Powers of the Bush administration? You haven't seen anything yet - just wait until Barack Obama, America's first and only black Der Fuhrer, begins his reign.

Der Schwarz Fuhrer has made no secret about his intent to use the powers of the Executive Order to force his dictates upon the American people. In doing so he will use both scare tactics and guilt tactics to justify his actions - two of the most common motivational techniques of dictators. For example, our country will collapse unless I do this, or it helps us as a country when we help those that are too lazy to help themselves - you get the point.

The huge union-controlled auto industry is a current example. Death by union is what is happening there, and knowing full well that Barack Obama (and various other anti-American Congress people) have been bought and paid for by union bosses - it only stands to reason they will try and pump taxpayer $$$ into the union bosses pockets.

Der Schwarz Fuhrer has come a long way. From his earlier life with socialist activists, union bosses, Chicago thug mafioso politics to a new weapon of mass destruction - the Executive Order pen. Just a tiny fraction of what what we already know is to come from Der Schwarz Fuhrer:

• Remove restrictions for stem cell research - FORCE research with slaughtered children cells using tax payer $$$
• Remove gag order on global organizations regarding abortion - FORCE international abortion funding using tax payer $$$
• Restore ban on off-shore drilling (up go your gas prices)
• Restore ban on oil, gas drilling on federal lands (up go your gas prices)

• Abolish the death penalty

What you are witnessing in American's economy is Liberal Creep.

Liberals (on both sides) started with government handout programs, advanced to forcing loans to unqualified people (which they are still promoting), now with frantic moves to use the force and might of growing government to force the economy to get better.

Free enterprise hasn't existed for decades, with each passing year more government mandates, taxes, rules, regulations, controls, etc. have chipped away the force of Capitalism. Achievement and success - once rewarded - is now spurned and penalized.

With the big government fist up the ass of industry the liberals try and blame Capitalism, when in fact any intelligent person knows it has been the burden of the growing liberal government that is the problem.

Now, with America facing such financial problems, Liberals are out in full force to prove that government is the saviour of the nation and of the world. They are trying all manner of "fixes" - costing you and your children decades of pain. We have become the bailout nation, a frantic Liberal Congress in denial of their own absurdities. They are trying every gimmick they can think of - except to back off and allow free enterprise to recover.

Politicians and lawyers deciding who is worthy to get your tax money. They manipulate, lie, pay off their pet industries like Hollywood and unions, they force their edicts upon the helpless Americans.

My conscience is clear - I did not vote for any liberals to Congress. I'm too smart for that. How about you? Did you really believe their lies? The jokes on you - and your children.

Liberal Congress members have been responsible for the mortgage "crisis". Concerned that many Americans would not get a home of their own they forced lending institutions to accept unqualified buyers, then promised these lenders that if the unqualified buyers defaulted then these loans would be backed (basically co-signed) by the government - you and I pay.

Well their good intentions backfired - of course.

But really - don't fall for that old lie Barack Obama is spreading, that line of "Bush's economy" because the office of the President has nothing to do with approving a budget or spending or what laws companies and corporations are to be subject to.

Don't expect Barack Obama to tell you the responsibilities of Congress - heck, he voted for items that have caused much of these failures, and even came up with his own "Global Poverty" act to empty America of over $500 BILLION and into the hands of the UN and outside nations!

Are You Afraid To Ask?

It's a simple YES or NO question. Do it for each candidate - or are you afraid?

In my daily union email I get this from the AFL/CIO:

Last week brought us news of Wal-Mart pressuring employees to vote against Democrats like Jeff Merkley who are fighting for working families. Now we're learning that corporate front groups are taking it a step further and unleashing vicious, misleading attacks on Merkley.

Oh - that's odd - the only pressure I know in the workplace is from union bosses ordering their members how to vote. Their mailings include all sorts of lies and misrepresentations to convince their little union clogs to vote the Union Way. The most important goal of this election is to tip the balance even farther in the (already failed) currently Democratic Controlled Congress to this legislation passes. That is why unions are pouring over $100 MILLION into the coffers of their political puppets - it is crucial to their survival.

One of the hot tactics unions are trying to get their political puppets (politicians, mostly Democrat) to pass is deceptively called Employee Free Choice Act. Union bosses claim it will "restore workers' freedom to form unions and bargain without employer harassment".

Workers already have the freedom to vote for a union or not - there is nothing to restore. That this legislation does, if passed in your state - or worse - the federal government as Senator Obama wants - would take away workers freedom to vote without fear.

If passed - the Employee Free Choice Act JIVE would force a worker's vote to be known to fellow workers and union bosses, thus opening that worker up for harassment - or something worse.

In this hot political arena this is one test to determine if your candidate of choice is a union puppet - bought and paid for by unions (and thus beholding to them) or if your candidate represents his constituents. Just ask your candidate this 1 simple question:

Do you support the right of a vote to remain private?

Jeff Merkley of Oregon does not support the most fundamental of an individual's freedom.

Jeff Merkley is just another union puppet - just ask him the question.

Their Dirty Little Secret

The official call from President Bush for the Democrat-controlled Congress to release their big government embargo against being energy self-sufficient was made today. The mindset of Democrats is simple and took place in two steps. The first was to block oil harvesting because of environmental concerns. The second - and current mindset - is to force American to be reliant on other countries.

The concept of self-reliance and responsible for one's self is contrary to Liberals (there are many conservative Democrats that don't follow the Liberal Democrat's philosophy). What better way to force Americans to be part of the "global community" that to force us to depend on other nations - primarily the biggest enemy of the USA - Saudi Arabia. If America was self-reliant then the (forced) need for America's dependency would be diminished.

So here are various scenarios of how this will play out:

1. Congress lifts their big government blockade - oil futures drop - OPEC reduces prices - Congress says "prices are now lower so we'll put back the blockade".
   
   
2. Congress says they will work on possibly lifting the blockade but will stall in hopes of Senator Obama election to the Presidency, thus forcing Americans to be even more dependent on the Saudis and globalism.
   
   
3. Congress forced by the American people to remove their blockade. Congress forced by the American people to NOT add fees to the gas prices, American's can be assured of future oil independence along with future alternative energy research and development in parallel.

$8+ / Gallon Oil Within 18 Months

I'm expecting the pump price for oil to be at least $8 or even more per gallon within the next 18 months - providing more Democrats get into Congress. Who gets elected President won't matter much since all three are liberals and the Office of the President does not control any budgetary or legislative issues.

Since Democrats have had control of the majority of Congress the pump price has risen over 33%. It would be more but enough Republicans have stopped their insanity - at least for now.

I find it almost funny how ignorant people think oil companies are the enemy. Let's see - they are the ones that buy the oil and they are the ones that refine the crude and they are the ones that distribute the gas you crave for your SUVs, your gas lawn mowers, your gas powered blowers, your boats, and all those other gas-thirsty devices.

The same ignorant people are all revved up ready to vote for Democrats that claim "I will take on the big oil companies". The same ignorant people think the profits of oil companies are sitting in some bloated corporate bank account somewhere - too funny. If only these ignorant fools would take a few business courses - learn about corporate structure and who really owns the oil companies. The stock holders, which include investment firms that probably are building your retirement account - just to name one.

I'm hoping gas soars once the ignorant elect more Democrats into Congress, and I have all the confidence in the world Democrats will make it happen. It seems like the only way for ignorant people to learn the reality of the Progressive's policies is in their own pocketbook. Progressives will try and divert attention to the damage they are doing to the economy with worthless lies - my fav being how Dick Cheney is controlling the oil companies, etc. Too funny.

Congress makes laws. Congress passes the budget. Congress can investigate. Congress adds burdens upon business. Congress drives companies overseas. Congress is screwing America's economy over royally - and the ignorant idiots want this to continue. Ah, but that is why they are ignorant.

Are You Better Off Now Than 1.5 Years Ago?

So how about it - are you better off since Democrats took control of Congress? It was a Democrat Congress that extended America's debt ceiling to well over a TRILLION DOLLARS! On top of that a bill (S.2433) sponsored by Democrat Barack Obama - wanna-be president - will force American taxpayers into deeper debt - on the order of $845 BILLION - his Global Poverty Act will help push America into poverty!

Are you better off now than you were before the Democrats took control of Congress?

Ask yourself that question especially when you get gas - now over $1.15 higher - almost $4 / gallon - since Democrats took control - and it will get worse as long as they remain in control, and Democrats like John Dingell (MI) wants to add 50 cents more PER GALLON as an incentive to fill up less and reduce pollution.

Ask yourself that question if you're unemployed - since Democrats took control the ranks of the unemployed are growing - up over 10% since Democrats took control. Democrats are increasingly making the USA a bad place for a company to do business with increasing interference into the business policies, forced mandates, forcing pro-union laws, forcing wage increases, and basically forcing American business out of the country, forcing them to lay off workers to remain profitable, or into bankruptcy. The latest? Four airlines bankrupt and GM to lay off 3,550.

Ask yourself that question if you've seen your home equity decline - before the Democrats took control Americans enjoyed historic highs in their home equity, now at the lowest point in over 60 years.

Ask yourself that question if you are one of the growing home owners facing foreclosure - now more than doubled from the beginning of the Democrat take over of Congress.

Ask yourself that question if you live in a Democrat controlled city / state and they tell you they have to cut jobs in law enforcement, release prisoners, cut vital services - yet they don't cut their handout programs to the illegal aliens. Want to blame the billions going to the Iraq war? Across the country:

• $11-$22 BILLION spent on welfare to illegal aliens
• $2.2 BILLION spent on programs like food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens
• $2.5 BILLION spent each year on Medicaid for illegal aliens

• $900+ MILLION to incarcerate illegal alien criminals (30% of all Fed. inmates are illegals)

What To Do With Your Funny Money

I call the money many will get from the faux stimulus package as funny money because it's simply a numerical value that has nothing of value backing it. This is why global businesses are reassessing whether or not they should stick with the US dollar. Most people don't care but they will - if the USD gets left behind.

In the mean time here's my advice:

DO:

• Put it into the highest interest account you have
  
• Put into your retirement account. This will give you a double bonus of being able to reduce your taxable income too!
  
• Buy some stock in some solid company that pays good dividends with a stock price that happens to be low right now - like GE
  
• Buy a book on business and/or economics and learn how the American government is destroying us - the liberal side of government.
  

DON'TS:

• Pay credit cards. Credit cards are unsecured debt and all you will be doing is handing money back to the bank. Yes, you should pay what you used but I would not use excess money (which the funny money is) to give back to the bank
  
• Spend it on frivolous junk
  
• Buy another cell phone - the one you have works fine
  
• Buy a big air conditioner because you are afraid of global warming. Al Gore hibernates in the winter but he will appear in the normal heat of summer to proclaim his fallacy, but don't worry - heat will be normal as it has been for hundreds of years.
  

And pleeeease - this is not a "Bush stimulus package". Only Congress can allocate money. Remember this as they give away over $1.7 BILLION to the United Nations - and that's just the base amount. Additional money will be given for such frauds as Darfur - where billions have already been given to government officials - than build themselves bigger mansions.

It's your money (if you're a tax payer) and mine. Is your candidate willing to spend even more? Now this little bit just received from a email from Democratic Senator Boxer:

I am also pleased that the Senate unanimously approved a bipartisan amendment to provide an additional $2.2 billion in funding for international affairs in FY08. The enacted FY08 International Affairs Budget totals $35.3 billion, including $1.7 billion for State Department international peacekeeping programs, a 10 percent increase over FY07.

Get use to it - it's how liberals work - just keep throwing (other people's) money away without accountability. If Obama or Clinton become president, you ain't seen noth'n yet!

BTW, the UN has gone on record and is demanding the marijuana vending machines in California violate international treaties and should be shut down. Hmmm - watch out Los Angeles, UN troops might be coming your way!

Liberal Senators have requested the UN come onto American soil to monitor elections in the past, so with a liberal Congress AND a liberal President you might actually see UN representatives on US soil to make sure we Americans comply with global law.

As if they can't spend our money fast enough President Bush wants to double the $15 BILLION "PEPFAR" program - aka, the AIDS in third world countries give-away. That's $30 BILLION for those without a calculator. I'm totally against this handout that's the result of people's sexual activities.

I See Liberal People

Take a whiff - we're all in a liberal toilet, as a result of liberal Republicans and Liberal Democrats. Better think again before they end up flushing our whole country down the drain.

Too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don't cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future - and yours.

In less than a year since liberals took control of Congress:

• The cost of living (inflation) has increased
• We have more illegal aliens than ever before
• Crude oil has increased over $20/barrel - about to pass over $100/barrel
  
• Value of the dollar on the international market has shrunk
• Increased the debt ceiling to historic levels
• Passed an incredible budget full of wasteful spending of American tax dollars
• Labor unions have got stronger
• Unionized public services, including schools, have demanded (and received) more money and benefits yet without any performance increase
• Businesses have more bureaucracy to deal with
• Entitlement programs are increasing
• Americans are forced to accept less English
• Domestic spying was approved
• Taxes are increasing
• Deductions are decreasing
• They continue to fund Iraq, a Muslim state, where Americans are being killed in a civil war between Islamic factions and where true democracy can never exist
  

So much more can be added to that list. Expect taxes to increase directly through taxes and fees and indirectly through lost deductions and lost credits. The socialism liberals strive for cost money - and lots of it.

Kind of funny - liberals cut off the liberal Lane County of Oregon's timber subsidy payments. Expect some drastic panic management to take place. Because the liberal commissioners just sat on their ass while receiving "free" handouts they never took the initiative to plan and manage a county effectively.

Expect services like law enforcement fire to be cut first - before they touch their social handout programs to the drug addicts, illegal aliens, and homeless from out of the state that come here for the handouts.
